Born into a noble house of Rostov, Sir Anton comes from a multi-generation chevalier line of knights in the Order of the Shield. He is tall, good-looking, and fun-loving, and rather enjoys making the ladies’ hearts race. Anton is everything a knight should be: courageous and fierce in battle and protective of the common people. His youth and good intentions motivate him to seek adventure that he might test his mettle to prove himself worthy of his title. The road calls to him because knighthood is not a destination, its a journey.
After many battles and trials, the Narlmarches have been judged by sword and rope. Now, Sir Anton, one of the legendary 5 kings of the Mistmarches, has proven himself upon the field of battle and in the court of justice as well. But this is only the beginning. He and his fellow kings face battles now fought in administrative meetings and across tables and he finds himself looking back toward his formerly simple life of being just a knight, solving his problems with a sword instead of his quill…
The road has taken him many places, brought him great happiness as well as sadness, led him to evil in need of quelling, and has given him life-long friends and a soul mate. It has tempered his soul within the forge justice and opened his eyes to values and beliefs so easily lost in the desperation of life-and-death struggles. From the first step upon the road to justice, the fires have raged like a bonfire. At first the fires carried him through difficult times. Yet over the years he has learned to control the fire and refine his purpose. Though the flames burn still, they are focused and honed into usefulness. A valuable tool in the fight to survive a world, that without those willing to carry on the struggle, would be overrun with evil and the light would perish in the darkness.
Wedded to the lady Evelynn Wynnwil, taking on squires, and taming the lands around the Kingdom of the Mistmarches has renewed his purpose in life. Now that his saddle shares time with his throne, Anton’s mood is much improved. Although he enjoys his time around the hearth, the road still beckons. Evils to be vanquished and wrongs to be righted have ever perpetuated Anton’s crusade.
Though winter’s bite gnawing at his bones and his queen’s love pulling at his heart have served to lessen the call of the road, it yet must be answered. Soon enough the time will come that this knight will pass the torch of justice to the next generation, but that time has not yet come!
The road beckons still…
Before and after vanquishing the barbarian hordes to the east, the kings were welcomed home with great rejoicing and celebration. Within this span of time, Queen Evelynn gave birth to a baby girl: Princess Jeyo De Mistmarch. And then less than a year from the birth of Jeyo, a baby boy is born: Prince Gryphon De Mistmarch. So far, one of the thrones of Mistmarch will have an heir.
With love, joy, and gratitude in his heart once again, Anton feels changes being wrought in his life. His perspective of the world has altered and is now more in line with family, hearth, justice, and now righteousness. After much soul-searching, Anton called upon the goddess Iomedae to save his squire’s life for saving his and take his in her stead. The answer to his call came in divine form and his prayer was answered. She accepted his offer, but not as he expected. His life would now serve Iomedae. He was given responsibility to accompany his new powers and purpose to focus his skills and talents. He was transformed into a chevalier of light to vanquish the darkness and to lift the yoke of oppression from the necks of those unable to do so.
Though the call is now focused and in some ways intensified…the road beckons still…
Before the start of the War with Pitax, Petra De Mistmarch and Myr’asia, Anton’s parents sold their estates in Rostland and relocated to the south in Misthaven to be near their grandchildren and to be away from the growing civil unrest in Brevoy.
Now following the Pitaxian War, Anton and Evelynn have once again been blessed by Iomedae with twins: Syldian and Brekken.
