Bio
Briarthorn Eveningshade
Fig Summerfleaf loved his days wandering the land as a traveling minstrel of Malamad, visiting old aquantances and finding new ones. The way he wanted to be remembered was by his music, hoping those memories would outshine the mischief he would tend to get into. Always on the move he would stay wherever he was long enough to be remembered, but not long enough to cause too much trouble. After some time traveling the land of Malamad, Fig and a few companions set off to explore other parts of Rissyn. That is when trouble found Fig.
Many days into their travels, Figs party were traveling though the land of Frostlocke and were ambushed by a raiding party of masked elves. Fig and his traveling friends were captured and taken to the lands of Hellag’Dar, seperated and sold into slavery. Being a pixie seemed to make Fig highly prized in the slave markets of Hellag’Dar. Over the next few months he was beaten, traded, and paraded about like a carnival act. That was fair treatment compaired to some of the treatment he saw inflicted on other slaves of the land. Those images turned Figs happy songs into songs of sorrow and lament. So every day he would quietly sing for his freedom, and the freedom of the other slaves from these cruel elves.
That freedom finally happened for Fig. One evening his “masters” neglected to check on the wards of his cage that prevented him from using any Fey magic he possesed. With that error, Fig shrank the lock that held him into his tiny prison, and escaped into the night. Finding his freedom at last. That great feeling of freedom did not last long though. The next day he already caught wind that there was a price on his head in the lands of Hellag’Dar, and Fig found himself on the run being chased by elven slave trackers. That pursuit did not end at the borders of Hellag"Dar either, as he ran off into neighboring lands, he would everyonce in a while find himself running from the trackers. Being a pixie was bad enough to make it easy for someone to notice him, so while in hidding Fig made the decision to change his appearance. The last thing he needed to do was to leave Fig Summerleaf behind him. So now began the adventures of Briarthorn Eveningshade.
Through all these new changes, Brairthorns song for the enslaved did not. No matter though voice or instrument, these songs seemed to embolden him and others around him. So he used his new identity and new life to spread the message of the enslaved and there injustice being done to them. Hoping his songs would help at least one slave to return home.
Home, that was Briarthorns new goal. For himself and others, he wanted to go home.
