Bio

The youngest of the the five legitimate sons of Carlo Emanuele, the duke of Savoy, Tommaso Francesco married Marie de Bourbon, sister of the comte de Soissons and, as a cousin to Louis XIII, a princesse du sang (princess of the royal blood). The couple took up residence in Paris, where the Savoyard prince is ranked first in precedence among the princes étranger (foreign princes) of the royal court.
