Bio

D’Estrees (b. 1573) is the brother one King Henri IV’s mistress Gabrielle d’Estrées. He is a lieutenant-general of the royal army, presently commanding an expedition to the Valtelline in the Italian Alps on behalf of France’s allies, the Grey League and the Republic of Venice. He is well-regarded by France’s soldiers and officers.

The marquis has also served as a diplomat for France as well.
