Bio
The son of an Amiens lawyer and burgher, Jean de Tourvel studied at the University of Paris; since completing his law studies in 1622, Tourvel (b. 1595) served as an avocat to the Parlement of Paris, where he is regarded as intelligent and ambitious.
Tourvel is also a manager of the Fellows of Saint George and provides private counsel for a number of bourgeois families in Paris.
