Backstory

Miranda was an orphan. Nobody ever told her where she came from or who her parents were. She was always a little different than the other kids growing up, and never had a lot of friends. She is still somewhat socially awkward and doesn’t always know what to do or say with other people. She prefers the dark.

While living with an abusive foster family, Miranda ran away. She was alone, frightened, young, and in a bad part of town. Some men tried to catch her, saying they were going to rape her. She fled, and instinctively her power was awoken and allowed her to flee. She has been on her own ever since.

After deciding to live on her own as a teen, Miranda learned to use her power and began making money from it. She was never very good at stealing, although she didn’t have to be since she was so good at hiding. Eventually, she found her niche as an informant, though.

While Ethan Gregory was in Texas last, he needed information on a person who may have been working for anti-human giants. To get the dirt on the guy, he contracted Miranda to do the work. Ethan ended up killing the mark.

Miranda often eats at Jose Rojas’ restaurant. She was a regular so she was there the night a gang tried to bust the place up. She took part in the fighting, and was able to drive the gang away with shadows without anyone being hurt.
