Chronicles of the Amber Wolfe
Ah, the Star Wars Universe. When we think in terms of the abuses suffered by a popular fandom, there has never been a more wretched hive of scum and villainy. Sometimes these abuses leave the fan-base reeling and forever tarnish the brand. We’re looking at you, Star Wars Christmas Special. But this oft-maligned franchise still retains fragments of its former greatness. Like beacons of light on a sea of black. The Chronicles of the Amber Wolfe is one such point of light. And it can only be found here at Obsidian Portal.
From the campaign home page you can all but hear the fanfare and see the yellow text scroll up to some impossible horizon. What’s that? You can’t? Fret not friends, as GM Palandar is a step ahead of you and put the crawl on YouTube.
It’s clear that lots of effort, lots of love, and many Bothan lives went into the making of this great campaign. Half encoded messages and film-noir-esque narratives give a refreshing and gritty realism to the events of Palandar’s vision of the Star Wars Universe. The wiki alone goes on for pages and pages on everything from locations, to alternate timelines, to cunningly implemented house rules. Hundreds of playable races anyone? It’s all there.
If you haven’t given the Star Wars Roleplaying Game: Saga Edition a chance then grab a handful of friends, some dice, and start reading the Chronicles of the Amber Wolfe. Palandar is a great example of the many GMs here at Obsidian Portal who’ve gone above and beyond the call of duty for their games. His efforts represent a new hope in the roleplaying arm of the Star Wars Universe.
For tireless devotion to a great campaign, Palandar gets a free 6-month Ascendant Membership! We can’t wait to see some more scrolling yellow text! A big thanks to Autumnschild for helping us find and showcase this great campaign!
