Lords of Fluviallis

Thomas Levino

Master Smith

Thomas Levino

Description

Thomas is everything a good dwarf strives to be, strong, stubborn, loyal, dependable, organized, meticulous, careful in speech and actions, and stout in times of trouble. He admires Lady Svetlana for carrying on so admirably after her husband’s traumatic death, and hopes to impress the nobles in this new land he has staked a claim in. While not a suck up, he definitely has a strong desire to impress those in power, and will do his best work for them, not daring to say no if they ask him something beyond his abilities. He is however very shy around women, having had almost no experience in that area socially with such an intense and long apprenticeship under his dwarf mentor. If anyone expresses admiration or flirts with him, he will blush, stammer, and find a reason to be elsewhere, but politely. In battle, he is willing to be the first one in the breach, stand steadfast next to any fellow warrior, and never give up.

Bio

Thomas Levino is a dwarf in a man’s body. He was apprenticed to Master Smith Hedrick Blackhammer at the age of 4, and has spent nearly every day since in the smithy. He learned to keep his mouth shut, and his eyes, ears, and mind open. He is a slow and methodical thinker and observer, but rarely misses anything when he is finally done with his assessment. He admires the taciturn, organized, thorough nature of his mentor, and strives to emulate it at all times. Due to his lack of mental acuity, he takes his time when responding sometimes so as not to appear stupid. If anyone or a situation makes him feel dumb, he will definitely not forget it and will be embarrassed and a bit angry that it happened, as he jabs at his intellect personally. He is however, an excellent smith, capable of turning out just about anything that master Blackhammer can, though it may take him longer and the quality may be slightly lacking, but as his mentor says, he is only human. He is excited and a bit nervous about coming to Oleg’s and working in this new land, as he has left the comfortable familiarity of his old shop and home, but he also gets to run his own smithy, a lifelong dream. The fact that the Lord Mayor asked him personally as a favor to aid his daughter is a source of pride with him, and he takes that duty seriously. He will however expect compensation that was promised him, or feel very slighted, assuming they thought to dupe him due to his weak intellect.
