Aeterna is a world where high-alchemy, steam/gear tech, and magic exist in relative disharmony. In the United Isles, baroque nobles vie for political dominance with the the rising power of industrialists. In the Sultanate, poet alchemists debate their hypothesis, theories, and more importantly, their experiments, while sipping tea, and huffing and puffing hooka in one of the many smoke-houses that line the Nahr river. To the north, the Agean clans clash amongst each other, fighting for the honor of their animal gods. Mighty warriors call upon the power of their heritage, assuming aspects of their ancient power. Further north, among snowy peaks and tundras, the collosal Dalarian Empire looms over everyone else. It’s God King, with all the time in the world, sits and waits has his nation harnesses it’s forces for yet another one of it’s crusades. If not for their unrelenting fanacticism, and unforgiving racism, their ranks of dragon riders, griffin riders, angels, and heroes would inspire even the grumpiest bards into writing epic after epic after them.
But in the city-state of Lunaria, the world meets. Under the guidance of the Mage s’ guild, the protection of its various mercenary and adventuring guilds, and the wealth and prosperity that its merchants guild provides, the city had always been a beacon of culture and civilization to almost everyone. But every success breeds enemies.
