I think the whole experience will be more robust if we really, truly keep the metagaming not just to a minimum, but to nil.
I am guilty of it too, of course. In a situation like the cave (with the guards and shit) the tension breaks every time we have a discussion that couldn’t possible have taken place in that situation.
Also – outside of the game – no talkie about the thingies.
I agree whole heartily. Although I must say in the cave, and even most times during the game, Santos is not necessarily concerned with others knowing his actions. I don’t think it was any mystery to the guards that we didn’t trust them, so me telling Taran I don’t trust them wasn’t too detrimental I hope.
Not meta-gaming is hard, especially if you care about the well being of your character, because you want to do whatever you can to survive, and you can only assume your character would have the same feeling about himself.
That being said, if I ever meta-game, just flick me in the ear
