Bio

A simple, fun loving, trickster from the Jungle that was.
Khamisi was born in a Vanara tribe to a loving family, in his youth he played with his friends and enjoyed a happy childhood. He bonded with Wakesa, another Vanara born the same year as himself. The two were inseparable and played together all the time. Khamisi and Wakesa were almost 18 when Wakesa’s parents were killed by Sabor the Mad Leopard while out gathering food. After greaving the lose of his family Wakesa set out to find and kill the leopard, knowing that it was virtual suicide. When Khamisi realized where Wakesa had gone, he set out to find his best friend and stop him. Khamisi found Wakesa being chased by Sabor and the two instinctively ran back to the village, where Sabor killed many before being stopped by the tribe leader and Khamisi. In the fight Khamisi didn’t realize that Wakesa was among the numerous dead, Khamisi began to mourn his death when he was approached by the tribe leader demanding an explanation. Khamisi realizing that if he were to tell the truth of Wakesa’s actions, his best friend would be considered a traitor to the tribe, told the chief that it was not Wakesa’s idea to find Sabor, but his own instead, and that Wakesa tried to stop him. The tribe leader had no choice but to excommunicate Khamisi from the tribe for his crime. and Khamisi became a hermit who traveled the jungle.
a few years after his excommunication Khamisi saw a group of strange apes that stood upright wore clothes, and used tools, like the Vanara, however, they had no fur, all but were taller, and many wore shiny clothing and carried shiny tools. He was intrigued by these peculiar apes and went in to investigate. these apes were a group of adventuring humans and elves and a dwarf who were investigating an abandoned temple, the temple Sabor called home. Vanara spent some time with them and learned their language. He helped his new friends find their way to the temple. One of the humans was a master of mind and body Takeshi the Jade Temple guardian, Takeshi saw a potential in the silly monkey and honed his fighting potential and showed him the true nature of the body and mind, Khamisi learned all he could from Takeshi and became a great warrior, he made himself a quarterstaff out of a tree limb. He also learned of the trinity from the Priest of the Son Denamir and began praising the God in Three. he said goodbye to his friends and became a protector of the jungle, using his wisdom above all to protect his home.
A few years later, strange people came to Khamisi’s jungle, two humans, younger than the humans he had met before, along with a large winged lizard were fleeing a small army who had followed them into the jungle, realizing that it was an unfair fight khamisi planned to help the two fleeing humans he followed as the humans escaped from the incoming forces. The humans stopped to take a break thinking that they were safe, little did they know a squad of the army was about to find them, Khamisi knew they needed something to give them the will to keep running, he jumped down, smacked one of them in the face, pinched the others nose and grabbed one of their bags, and took off away from the army. The humans gave chase but had trouble keeping up with the swift Khamisi. it was obvious to Khamisi that the two had never been in a jungle before after a while he led them far enough that they were safe he gave them back their stuff and introduced himself, they were surprised that the monkey could speak common, they introduced themselves as Tahir and Tahad. he led them to a safe place to stay that night and listened to their tale. In the middle of the night the smell of smoke woke Khamisi before the rest and he went to investigate. Khamisi found the army that had been chasing his new friends had set a mighty fire in an attempt to to kill the Stormborn and their dragon Zora. He fan back to find his new friends and warn them, when he got back Tahad and Tahir had prepared to take off and told Khamisi to come with them, he grabbed his staff and some food and jumped on the back of Zora and the trio flied low out of the burning Jungle. Khamisi looked back as the jungle burned down, he prayed that his former tribe would be able to escape.
Khamisi joined the Stormborn brothers in their goal of stopping the forces that destroyed their city and Khamisi’s home.
