Shards of Oblivion

These Walls Can Talk

Each of the party members claims a room in the tower. Unseen Servants dash about, tidying and cleaning, baffling Gust. Locke attends to each window and door in the keep, even the internal ones, using Nails of Sealing to Arcane Lock each one. [DC 30 Thievery or Strength check to open, except for the party, Aureon, and Gust. Reseals when closed, Locke knows automatically if one is broken. How many entrances are there?]

He then gathers everyone around the navigational focus. “Let’s find out what happened here.” [Note for Brian: last session the tower’s Plane Shift was activated by some unknown entity, though we managed to stop it in time.]

Locke casts Whispers of the Edifice, which he found in one of Aureon’s old books. Gazing around the room, he says, “You’ve been silent long enough, friend. Take this voice, and speak.” (Arcana +19, including auto-assists from Arctus and Aureon; one additional question from Ribbon of Limitless Questions).

Locke turns to the others. “Feel free to chime in. I’ll go first.” Turnng again to the empty room, he asks, “Who or what activated the navigational focus the last time it was used?”
