Silent Tempest has always been at arms reach from his goals, but despite all of his struggling, he hasn’t been able to get closer. Born into a disgraced House of the Realm, Tempest lived just outside the inland sea, his childhood spent in the shadow of the Imperial Mountain and the woman who ruled within. His father dying shortly before his birth, Tempest’s mother brought him up in a very strict upbringing, seeking to bring to the fore the potential the blood of the dragon’s given to him.

Destiny had other plans in mind though. On his 18th birthday, Tempest discovered the true nature of his family. He hasn’t spoken to anyone what he found out that day, but it was enough to Exalt him as a Chosen of Secrets. Fearing discovering as an Anathema, Tempest immediately fled before being found by the Reckoner Ash Lotus. Explaining what had happened to him, Ash Lotus brought him to Yu-Shan to begin his training there.

All was going smoothly, until three years into his training, Tempest’s Sifu mysteriously vanished. Finding that her mission was classified by Saturn herself, Tempest sought out the Incarnae and demanded an explanation, only to be rebuffed with Saturn exposing him to a small portion of her vision, inflicting a mental wound he has yet to heal from.

Numbed by the experience, Tempest eventually finished his training and retreated to the libraries of the Forbidden Manse, only to be called out to his first major field assignment: discovering the nature of the Mountain Folk known as the Chaos Seers.

n his first day outside Yu-Shan in five years, Tempest encounters the Twilight Loquacious Dibare, the Artisan Wind’s Tradition, and the Full Moon Marast the Unbroken. It is eventually revealed that Tempest was arranged to be married to Loquacious before the forces of Arcane Fate forced him from the minds of all concerned. Even more intriguing were the hints of a professional relationship between the two in their prior incarnations as Anaxandra (Loquacious) and the Maiden of the White Lilies (Tempest).

His spirit roused from it’s stupor, Tempest seeks to incorporate these new characters into his plans as best he can, and figure out what, if anything, destiny is trying to tell him with the shared incidents between himself and Loquacious.
