The Guardians have operated in Indianapolis since 1982. Their adventures are many and have taken them far beyond the Midwest. Recently the heroes are aware that there is a gap in their memories, but they have no idea what has happened. They do know that ‘suddenly’ all supervillains have somehow been freed from Stronghold.

The Guardians have gone through several headquarters over the years: a two-story building on the southside of downtown Indy; the top 5 floors of the Bank One Building in the heart of downtown; and their current location, a former Army command bunker on the grounds of Fort Harrison State Park on the city’s Eastside.

Arthur Morning (aka Cyclone), the benefactor of the New York City superhero team (the first superhero team in history), has installed a teleportation pad in he headquarters of both the Champions and the Guardians, so that the teams can provide support for each other. The hero known as Wraith is also lending his desolidification technology to the Guardians for their HQ holding cells.
