I roll Thievery. 19 What did I steal?
This is our campaign, Not So Heroic. It follows the adventures of a group of ne’er-do-wells looting, lying, and murdering their way across Eberron. The campaign is high on crazy situations, characters, and items. The party is nominally unaligned bordering on evil. Our campaign is part Firefly, part Indiana Jones, part Monty Python.
We also use the rules from “Break & Enter: Book 1: Stealth Encounters” by Emerald Press for more sneaky missions. Still figuring it out but overall they’re better than skill challenges.
House Rules:
Action points can be expended to do something ‘awesome’ that may break the rules of the game and/or the laws of physics.
Natural 20’s can be narrated for awesomeness and extra effect. Natural 1’s can be narrated for comic relief and extra effect.
All PC’s receive a number of free rituals related to their class (subject to DM approval). For example, an assassin can get the ‘passwall’ ritual. They can use these rituals without the ritual caster feat, and at no cost (except for item creation rituals). Rituals are considered instantaneous (subject to DM approval), and some can be used in combat (subject to DM approval). Rituals can be used multiple times per day.
After that, take a look at your wiki. There is some more helpful info there.
