Tom Klein is the young deputy of the town of Harmony. Tom was appointed Deputy by the Mayor Stanley Walker. Tom is a fresh wet behind the ear kid, but is trying hard to learn is new trade. He often comes off as being slow, by has a strong eye for details. Tom lives at home with his sick mother, Rebecca Klein. Tom’s father was killed by Indians when he was 9 years old.
