My family is from Shion. We moved to Greenleaf to be closer to our coffee plantations when I was 4. Around that time my father noticed that I was always tinkering with mechanical things, so he hired a few of the plantation’s mechanics to look after me and teach me all of their fancy mechanical tricks. He also put me in the best schools available. I took to machines like a fly takes to shit. When the war started, I was just old enough to join in the fighting. I had come to love Greenleaf, and I didn’t want the purple belly alliance sticking their noses into every honest working man’s business. My parents, on the other hand, were glad to hear that the alliance wanted to bring some civilization to the rim planets. I couldn’t stand the thought of living under alliance control, so I told my parents to piss off and joined the Brown Coats. I joined the fighting at nearly the beginning. At first I was assigned to infantry, but I had no combat skills, so they switched me to mechanic. after the fighting got heavy, they needed people to work as medics and there I was. I learned a lot of my medical skills in the war. After the final defeat of the Brown Coats, I had no home to go back to because my parents had disowned me. I bounced around some rim planets working as a doctor or mechanic to make my way. I even apprenticed a nice retired core planet doc on lilac. He taught me what the medics in the war couldn’t. After my stint on lilac, I decided I wanted to travel and help people where I could. I took a job as a mechanic on a firefly so I could travel and have a home at the same time.
