Let’s party like it’s 1979
Unfortunately there’s no entry for Homebrew in the system list, but this game is sort of derived from D&D. Amd that’s D&D without any qualifications. No version number, no “Basic”, “Expert”, “Advanced”, etc. The rule system is eclectic, capable of having almost anything thrown into it, albeit some distortion is inevitable.
But never mind that. After all, the first rule of fantasy roleplaying is “Pretend you’re there and say what you do”. The second is “Get to know the setting”. The GM can handle everything else. This is mainly a story driven game, but where the players can affect how the story progresses.
So: The current game evolved from a simple wandering scenario to a world hopping adventure a little bit like Sliders. But just when the self proclaimed leader of the group was thinking of himself as a hardcore airship pirate kimg, the group was captured by those who make it there business to control such things. Several party members got killed, others abandoned ship, and the survivors were exiled. Now they’re trying to figure out how to survive in a barren world where tornados are an essential part of the ecology.
I consider this to be the start of a new campaign.
But there’s been some turnover among the players, and i’d like to have 2 or 3 more. I don’t want to specify age limits, i’ve games with all ages fron high schoolers to my own age of cough cough years out of college. What i’d like is people with some background in fantasy literature and real world history. Readers. But, anyone who can follow rules 1 and 2 above is welcome.
Sessions are held at the Town Center Mall in Santa Maria, sundays, approximately noon to 4.
