Description
Speaker Tal leads the Crystal Council, the ruling elders of the ice moon and the governing body of the system as a whole. He is an old man dressed in furs with long knots of hair wrapped around his body.
The council also commands Svard’s Planetary Defence Force (PDF), the closest thing to a standing army they possess. Though not as well trained or equipped as a regiment of the Imperial Guard, the Svard PDF are nevertheless brave and numerous. These men form Svard’s frontline against the Whisperers and represent the most likely kind of aid that Speaker Tal will offer the Explorers should they wish to try a full scale frontal assault on one of the moons.
Bio
Tal is a shrewd politician who cares only for the prosperity of Svard—something that in past days made him quite unpopular with citizens of the other moons. However, he finds himself ill-equipped to handle crisis. Because of this, he sees the Lord Captain Rinn and his retinue and Inquisitor Keel as the opportunity he has been waiting for to reclaim Svard. He knows he will have to appease the Explorers with promises of wealth and rights, however he also thinks that once the Dynasty’s coffers are full and the Whisperers are dealt with, they will leave and he will be in charge once more.
