Tomas Merryweather is the second-born of Owen Merryweather, a former Hand of the King who had fallen victim to Aerys II madness and was executed and his family lands stripped from him. After the rebellion, King Robert restored the Merryweather lands and the house is in the midst of rebuilding thanks to his older brother Orton.
