The news was all over the streets, Devushka had it confirmed by the guards, a helpless prisoner slaughtered without warning, gruesomely at that. Devushka took up a knights vow to do what it takes to find the brutal beast responsible and kill it, as well as restore life to that which was extinguished before her time, for she is now Devushka’s sworn charge. She has heard that the monster who slaughtered the helpless woman was amongst sailors, and all sailors are going west. Devushka decided to find a ship and hope the fates lead her to the senseless monster so that she may bring the creature to an end and bring back that which was cast aside so callously.
Devushka’s personality can be summarized in the following transcript:
Soldier – “Devushka? She was told 3 days ago to guard a door, hasn’t moved or budged an inch. Tried talking to her, she simply ignored me. Hell she ignores most everyone but authority. She’s like the single most boring person I’ve ever met. Er, perhaps stoic would be a better word…”
Though originally part of the order of the dragon, with the taking of a sworn charge Devushka is now undergoing the arduous process of joining the Order of the Seal.
However joining the illustrious Seal Order has proven to be difficult to say the least. At her graduation review, this was said:
“While, your duty and vigilance are of no question, what worries us most are your sense of ethics. We sense you have little to no companionship with your steed and even worse with others on two legs. What troubles us more are the rumours that you would willingly exploit our revered Cavalier Rings. The level of compromise you’re willing to do to accomplish your goals makes us believe you are very susceptible to the corruption the world at large holds. It’s true that protecting the things you swear under oath is the core to our order, but at what cost? If it was simply that, we should just craft metal golems for that one singular purpose then. For it is our hearts and our conscious that make us more than stoic guard automatons. And that is why it is our final decision that you shall serve under the Order of the Dragon until you are worthy of joining the Seal. Perhaps there you will learn what comradery is and value the lives of others.”
In answer to this speech Devushka simply continue her stoic gaze and said, “Is that all? I have a life to defend.”
