Survival after the Serpentfall!
It is the year 1948, the third year without a summer since the Fall of the Serpent. It is always terrible weather it seems, no matter where you go: snow, rain, sleet, freezing rain, hail, blizzards, ice storms, drizzle, and fog. The skies are eternally gray and cloudy, and overcast, and threatening, and roiling, and murky, and thunderous. Roads are slick and treacherous; passes are snow-choked and impassable; at least in most of the world.
Sure, the Australians have it nice, as well as much of South America, but the rest of the world…brutal.
