Haven was born in a small tropical island far from the influence of the exalted. She was originally given a name that roughly translates into “Amber Vulture”. She was a gifted healer and was well known for her compassion by the time she reached her tenth year. She was also the most gifted shaman in the village. Leaving offerings for the kind and generous spirits, while chastising the spirits that were less than friendly. During a drought in her 15th year, she was arguing with the local river spirit. The spirit was enraged that the villagers were not increasing their offer of fruit every year and was slowly cutting down their water supply. Haven did what she could to explain to the irrational spirit that without water they could not grow crops to grow enough fruit for food and offerings. The spirit did not care about the people it used to mean to protect. In it’s selfish rage, it sent a great flood to drown the village. The river exploded through the dam that was built to keep water out, killing a family of fishers who lived nearby. Haven felt an anger she never felt before. Her skin was burning and her blood was boiling. She started controlling the spirit with an overwhelming presence. At that instant, she was reborn. A solar had entered her being in this moment of overwhelming power. Haven then took a deep, long breath and sucked in the river spirit that had become corrupted by gluttony. This spirit seemed small and powerless as she swallowed the spirit whole. She emerged victorious, bathed in prismatic essence with a golden symbol adorn her forehead. As she slept, vivid dreams of a past life filled her head. This was part of her now. Images of a tomb guarded by a great wolf. Haven left her village that next day, and they gave her a godlike farewell. What she did not know is that she was now a god in their eyes. For months she searched for the tomb. This large, feral wolf was not aggressive to her. It let out a soft whimper as haven put her hand on it’s snout. A voice from deep inside her mind called “Artax…I have returned.” Haven quickly found out that this was not her own tomb. The Dragonblooded who killed her in her previous life thought she had drowned when the she fell off the cliff, Artax brought her here. The tomb was originally for another solar, a devout follower of the unconquered sun. But here she found her old body, which had decayed. Only a bow glittered in the pile of bones and dust. This is also where she rediscovered her true name: Haven. She then spent the next year traveling the world, trying to find out more about her new found powers and the memories they contain. There were so many questions to answer now…
