Tamlyn is the Wounded Healer. Also called Golden Hands. Deeply familiar with pain, disease and being weak Tamlyn tries to bring about a world where he can heal freely without having to hide his powers.
Those who see Tamlyn for the first time are often disturbed by his appearance. At 5’1 he is small for a grown person of Creation and the heavy fur cloak that wraps him completely makes it hard to see his build and gender. His face is covered by a rough beaten iron mask in the shape of a cobra head and his large almost purple blue eyes are deep set. Diagonal across his back is a 6’ staff of orichalcum with leaf shaped blades shaped to resemble cobras.
Tamlyn was born to a South-Eastern Realm’s warrior people. His mother had briefly traveled into the Wyld while pregnant, as a result Tamlyn was born weak and frail. Not wishing to care for a child that would probably die soon Tamlyn’s mother sold him to the town Midwife as a slave. As he developed people noticed that the boy, though frail and slow to heal seemed to possess an almost supernatural attractiveness, to the point where he was abused several times by people who took advantage of his slave status. Tamlyn was extremely smart and learned everything the Midwife knew about herbs and medicine by the time he was 14 years old. That year the Immaculate Order sent a Wyld Hunt to destroy the village in retaliation for allowing Lunar Exalted to use it as a base and breeding ground. His people were slaughtered but Tamlyn was spared because of his alluring appearance. Made a slave again Tamlyn was sent to live on a family estate in Nexus to tend to the Dragon-Blooded’s personal servants.
At 17 Tamlyn exalted as a Solar of the Eclipse Caste. He used his new powers to change the attitudes of the Estate he was living in, causing them to shun him and cast him adrift in the world. For the last 2 years he has been traveling in the area around Lookshy, working with Merchant Guilds as an itinerant Healer. He has gained the name Goldenhands and despite the fact that many believe him to be some type of Exalt he has a fair number of contacts and influence because of his willingness to treat grave injuries and help those around him. Tamlyn regularly tends to the health of the sex workers of the Solar Krail, sympathizing with their station in life.
