Description

John Compton was convicted for the murder of his cousin on June 14, 2005. Compton was on parole at the time of the murder.

Contreras is a known member of a violent street gang. He has a long and violent criminal history, including more than 15 arrests for carrying a concealed weapon, felon in possession of a firearm, evading police, and possession of a controlled substance. Compton is known for his shaved head and numerous tattoos.

After Compton escaped the prison, he and a few of the inmates traveled around North Carolina. They eventually settled in Hampstead, NC.
