Rishar IV Campaign
“Battle is the most magnificent competition in which a human being can indulge. It brings out all that is best; it removes all that is base. All men are afraid in battle. The coward is the one who lets his fear overcome his sense of duty. Duty is the essence of manhood.”
-Lord Commander William Patter
In the Calixis Sector, out on the eastern fringe lies a small group of planets titled the Rishar Belt.
These planets were left to decay in the void with little touch from living creatures. Though highly habitable, when the first explorator crew reached the planets, they were astonished to find only small unintelligent specimens in such a highly resourceful set of planets. Immediately the Imperium set out to claim these planets as there own.
However this collection of planets were not truly vacant, a small outpost of Eldar Exodites resided, they sat in wait as they watched the Humans explore their sacred worlds. They knew a terrible secret sat in slumber into the crust of each planet and it was there duty to maintain the proper rituals to keep them awake. The Eldar Exodites knowing that the Human’s meddling would eventually destroy everything they seeked to protect, so they sent out what little resources they had left to gather Eldar forces within the Calixis Sector to help quell the threat before Human colonization began.
Recently in the eastern fringe Tau forces have gained strength and though under a icy cease fire with the Imperium, a loop hole in the agreement allowed for Tau to attack and expand under the guise of defending previous held Tau planets, and due to the vague mapping under the treaty the Rishar Belt was left in a questionable spot for the Imperium to hold. The Ethereals sent out scouts and intercepted the Explorators report on the high resource planets in the Eastern fringe, and due to a shortage of supplies in the sector it was deemed worth the risk to attempt to take these planets under Tau hold.
It was seen that Xenos threats were beginning to grow in the Rishar Belt and the Imperium needed immediate protection before the colonists arrive and the Imperial Navy could come hold this part of the sector. A immediate request for the Adeptus Astartes to put a foothold on key strategic points on the largest of the four planets was made. Of the Chapters to hear the call, the Blood Angels, Ultramarines and the Imperial Fists were able to send attachments to stop the influx of xenos threats.
Along with the Adeptus Astartes, Inquisitor Tyrus Tsar requested near by Deathwatch forces as well of Sisters Militant with a detachment of Imperial Guard to strike down planet side, as rumors of ancient Pre-Heresy Relics may exist on these planets from the extensive report of the Explorator’s crew. These relics are rumored to be have been pieces of lost tech handled the by our very God Emperor himself and are in of dire need to be retrieved if these reports are true.
What other threats may come…we do not know, things that slumber may stir from the war above, and the sounds of combat attracts those blood hungry beings that hide in the warp ready to frenzy.
In the Grim Dark Future, there is only war.
