Ainsel can transform herself into a whirlwind
5 feet wide and 10 feet high, and remain in that form for up to 1 round for every 2 HD Aubrey has. In this form she is able to fly normally without provoking attacks of opportunity, even if she enters the space another creature occupies. Ainsel cannot attack normally in whirlwind form and does not threaten the area around her.
Diminutive or fine sized creatures might be caught
and lifted into the air if they touch or enter Ainsel’s whirlwind, or if she moves into or through those creatures’ space. Diminutive or fine-sized creatures that come into contact with Ainsel must succeed on a Reflex save (DC 10 +half of Aubrey’s HD +Ainsel’s Strength modifier) or take damage as if they were hit by Ainsel’s slam attack. They must also succeed on a second Reflex save or be picked up bodily and held suspended in the powerful winds, automatically taking the indicated damage each round and suffering a –4 penalty to Dexterity and a –2 penalty on attack rolls. Creatures trapped in the whirlwind cannot move except to go where the whirlwind carries them but can otherwise act normally. The whirlwind can have only as many creatures trapped inside at one time as will fit inside the whirlwind’s volume. Ainsel can eject any carried creatures whenever she wishes as a free action, depositing them in her space.
If the whirlwind’s base touches the ground, Ainsel
creates a swirling cloud of debris 5 feet in diameter centered on herself. The cloud obscures all vision, including darkvision, beyond 5 feet, granting concealment. Those caught in the cloud of debris must succeed on a concentration check (DC 15 + spell level) to cast a spell.
Aubrey may cast a spell with a target of “You” on

Ainsel (as a touch spell) instead of on himself. He may cast spells on her even if the spells do not normally affect creatures of Ainsel’s type (outsider).

to a 1 mile distance. Aubrey can communicate empathetically with her, but cannot see through Ainsel’s eyes. Because of the link’s limited nature, only general emotions can be shared. Aubrey has the same connection to an item or place that Ainsel does.

Aubrey. If he and Ainsel are in contact at the time Aubrey casts a touch spell, he can designate her as the “toucher.” Ainsel can then deliver the touch spell just as Aubrey would. As usual, if Aubrey casts another spell before the touch is delivered, the touch spell dissipates.
Ainsel and Aubrey can
communicate verbally as if they were using a common language. Other creatures do not understand the communication without magical help.
Aubrey may scry on Ainsel (as if casting the
scrying spell) once per day.
Ainsel normally appears as a shapeless whirling vortex of air
2 feel tall and weighing 1/4 pound.
