Ambrose is one of the senior members of the group of Scions masquerading as the Knights of the Round Table – he has taken on the identity of Merlin ‘to guide people’ as he puts it

He initally recruited the Band to do a few missions for him as a way of gauging their abilities to see if they would make good members. He was not always forthcoming with details – particularly in regards to the group’s identity, but tended to supply them with materials and back-up as necessary.

He seems to have fairly powerful influence and access to military forces and equipment and appears to be a director at the Military Engineering Firm, Caliburn.
He also seems to have contacts in government too – as to how aware they are of his identity is not known.
