Clive Battlegibber comes from a long line of mountain dwarves who specialize in gem cutting for fine jewelry and weapons. The trouble is that the recent generation of his family has hit a dry spot on the mining of gems and buying the uncut gems from neighboring clans is cutting too deeply into the profit margin. Clive figures that he can make more money adventuring as he is a fierce and fearless warrior, a trait also inherited genetically. Though not quite bezerkers, his family is known for losing all rationality during a fight and becomming almost incoherent in their speech until the threat is completely destroyed. The name Battlegibber is actually a marriage of the words Battle and Gibberish. Some have been known to foam at the mouth during a conflict while spewing unknown curses at the enemy and Clive is no exception. Clive is quite the gem-cutter, but he prefers a good scrap over the tedious work of sculpting gems.
He has dark brown hair and a beard fitting of a proud dwarf. He likes his ale and is generally fond of other races as he was often tasked to trade the gems from his family’s shop with nearby villages and towns. He rides a pony, named Moonstone (after his favorite stone). He’s willing to trade in gems on his travels if a profit can be made. He prefers to use a two-handed battle axe in battle as he imagines cutting off imperfections of his foes as if plying his gem-cutting trade. The problem for his foes is that he finds them fully imperfect. Clive is willing to hire on as a mercenary or join up with an adventuring group. He’d love to pilfer some profits from the evil races. His hatred of orcs and goblins is very strong.
