Ku-ki’cha tends to fight using his powerful unarmed strikes while wielding his gythka (crescent-bladed spear) in defence (Hafted Defence feat).
Ku-ki’cha is a thri-kreen warrior from the Great Alluvial Sand Wastes. He finds tieflings particularly loathsome, for they brutalized his clutchmates when he was newly hatched. The tieflings came upon his unprotected clutch and began pulling the legs off the newborns, leaving them to die in the baking sun. Somehow the tieflings missed Ku-ki’cha, but the first sight ever to grace his purplish eyes scarred the thri-kreen forever.
Ku-ki’cha is unusually quiet, even for a thri-kreen. He speaks only when necessary. Some of his new clutchmates attribute this to the brutal introduction he was given to life, but that is only part of what has shaped his personality. He is interested in only two things: the quest for martial perfection, and the hunt for serenity. If those around him talk too much, or too loudly or frivolously, Ku-ki’cha wanders away, searching for peace and quiet. He will tag along eagerly with adventuring parties, knowing that there will be opportunities to test his battle skill.
Ku-ki’cha has arrived in Altaruk to fulfil a debt of honour – one of his clutch-mates was a mul called Rikus who died while on an expedition. Rikus’s dying wish was for him to take his few remaining possessions and money and take them to an old girlfriend – a mul woman called Neska who lives in Altaruk. After failing to find her there he has taken up with a group of adventurers and has informally adopted them as his new clutch.
He is a little naive about city ways, having lived most of his life in the desert, and so far finds that towns are noisy, complex and filled with people who want to take his money. Since Ku-ki’cha is not especially materialistic, the loss of a few coins bothers him less than the feeling that he is being taken advantage of.
