Idrin grew up in the forests around Arandale. Despite his proximity to Arandale, however, he himself never entered the town until he was a young adult. As a child, he moved around throughout the forests and other terrain features in the area with his parents in their constant reverence of the spirits of The Earth Wheel. Often, their travels would take them far from Arandale. His friends were often the open sky, the road, and other followers of the primal ways. Many an evening was spent in the company of the elders around a fire, listening to their stories.
Since the departure of his parents, he has been making more incursions in to Arandale. He earns an occasional few copper pieces as a farm hand, but he enjoys hunting and trapping more (and it pays better). As of late, he’s been helping the city guards help monitor the forests and he is happy to protect “his” town.
Idrin wears a well-worn, but serviceable set of leather armor. His light shield is equally as worn, but has been restored time and time again. Idrin keeps his hair worn long in a thick braid. His face is clean-shaven and his eyebrows, while thick, are not bushy like many others of his kind. He is short and deceptively lean. His amber eyes are bright, and when he’s angry, gleam. His attention to his appearance has helped the majority of the residents in Arandale come to accept him (all except the most traditional and hateful).
Idrin is quiet, observant, and reserved. He has a great respect for the harmony between the civilized and wild areas. He does laugh, but he is often stoic, perhaps shy, around other beings. He is friendly once he warms up to someone, but he is so used to constant movement and being alone (and being shunned) that he has learned to be incredibly self-reliant.
