This is a Warhammer 40,000 setting game,using the Deathwatch rules set. As such all players will be playing as Space Marines. I have made a few (2) minor/major changes to the setting depending on how you look at it. I will bring the change to your attention later.

Setting Background

The current date is m42.016 (or 41,016 AD) and the Imperium of man is still going dispate the doom sayers in m40.999 and the secret police the Inquisition still are protecting man from the Alien, the Heretic, and the Deamonic. The galaxy is a dark place ruled by fear and hate. The light of the great beacon of Terra has stopped diminishing, it isn’t getting stronger but it seems to have stabilized, for now. Inquisitor Heinrik VonBraum has been following three living saints, whom seem to have been alive for 20,000 years. Believing them to instead be daemon hosts, or xenos Heinrik has requested and received a Deathwatch team to aid in his investigation.

You are that team, brave men and women of the many chapters of the Space Marines, the Adpetus Astrates. You and your battle brothers will go deep into the heart of this mystery following the path these “Saints” have taken to discover if they are pawns in a daemonic game, tools of heresy, or just who they claim to be.
