In art, Set was mostly depicted as a mysterious and unknown creature, referred to by Egyptologists as the Typhonic beast. A beast like a dog with the face of an aardvark and large ears like a giraffe. Scepters carried by gods, pharaohs, and priests, as a symbol of power were sculpted in his image and in later times these scepters represented control over the force of chaos.
