Wires, in the meat world, appears as a scrawny, weak young man. With long black hair, varying between down and back in a ponytail, Wires stands at about 1.7 m in height and weighs roughly 54 kg.
Wires is typically seen wearing his trademark leather trenchcoat (armored of course), and underneath it somewhere he usually is wearing his chameleon suit that he invested in after a string of profitable data retrievals.
Upon looking at Wires, one might get the impression that he’s hung over, on the mend from some drug, or, at the very least, hasn’t gotten enough sleep, mainly due to the his typically haggard appearance and bloodshot eyes. The truth is that being on the Matrix for hours on end takes its toll on his weak meat body, and it shows.
In the meat world, he looks similar to this:

His Matrix icon looks like this:

Wires, strangely enough, was born both human and a non-technomancer. Being a kid of above-average intelligence, he found little enjoyment in most activities children his age would enjoy. This trend would continue as he grew into a teenager, participating very little and making very very few friends. All he did was go to school, excel in class (which wasn’t difficult for him), and return home.
In the seclusion of his room, however, he participated in the one activity that he found engaging and challenging: hacking. Taking on the identity of Wires within the Matrix, he hid behind the digital persona, allowing him to interact with other denizens of the Matrix in ways he could never bring himself to do in the meat world. Within the Matrix, he honed his skill at manipulating the data streams and bypassing node securities.
However, one fateful night, while earning some spare nuyen in data retrieval, Wires, like so many others, was caught in the legendary Crash of ‘64. Being trapped in the Matrix for four whole days, Wires awoke in a hospital with no memory of the Crash or what occurred to him during his entrapment. Even stranger still was that, while his mind was being forever changed within the Matrix, his body underwent a similar change, awakening itself into the form of an elf.
It wasn’t long before Wires discovered his technomantic abilities. Trying to find solace within his parents about the many changes he was forcibly undergoing, they spurned him. He had no choice but to run away from home, finding that, with nowhere to go, a squatters life was his only option. Taking this time to hone his technopathic abilities, he found that surviving on the streets came a little easier with this particular advantage over the other squatters, and soon he attracted the attention of others like him.
Being contacted by other technomancers, he met up with them within a hidden node. There, they taught him the “way of the wireless” and helped him improve his technomancer skills to the point that he was able to manipulate the Matrix almost as naturally as some who had been around since the days of the otaku. Feeling confident in himself, he ventured forth with his new found power to forge his way in the underworld, make a name for himself, discover the meaning behind being a technomancer, and hopefully survive the shadows.
