Place: Necropolis of Rome
Time: 64 CE, 3 weeks following the Great Fire.

Nero blames the Christians for the fire that destroyed most of Rome and has killed his two closest advisers. The Emperor has begun the persecution against the Christians to the beasts that walk the coliseum. Rumors of Nero kicking his wife and unborn child to death spread through the senate and streets of Rome. The Senate are growing tired of Nero and bribe the Praetorians to turn against the Emperor. The legions in Spain declare the Governor Galba, to be Emperor in Nero’s place.

Under the mortal streets of Rome, the Senex of the Camarilla is licking its wounds from the horrors of the Great Fire. Ashes from many kindred still litter the floors of Necropolis and the Senex are nearly all gone. The Christians are retracting to the catacombs that exist at the higher levels of Necropolis. Word has reached the ears of the Senex that the enemies of the Camarilla are planning to completely destroy what is left of vampire society during this time of weakness.
