Bio

Issac Johansen’s life was a relatively uneventful one. He was born in a middle class nuclear family, where he was raised with a strong respect for the government and the legal system. He married his high school sweetheart the year they graduated, joined the police force as soon as he was qualified, and was quickly noticed by the higher-ups for his skill and persistence. He was on a fast track to promotion, and was eagerly looking forward to the birth of his first child. And then he died, gunned down by gang members in a dark alley in the winter.

At least, he should have died. But when the bullets struck him, rather than tearing through his flesh, they deflected off of his body harmlessly. Issac fired back in instinct, and even though his shots went wild, they still struck true, reflecting from wall to thug. Once the smoke cleared and Issac calmed down enough to work his radio, he called in the situation. The only thing he kept quiet on was exactly how he survived the apparently-fatal situation. But that very day, he went down to the local OUA, and registered himself as a metahuman.

Although the kills were ruled good, Issac still drew suspicion for the mysterious circumstances under which he survived. Whether because of this or because of his skill, he remains a beat cop to this day, assigned to the worst situations the force has to offer. He’s become quite cynical and jaded after all he’s seen, and feels like he’s become prematurely an old man. Although this has put some strain on his marriage, he and his wife are still quite happily married, and he absolutely dotes on the daughter born shortly after his life-changing experience.
