Intelligent and compelling, before becoming Exalted Kadon Cind was a popular professor of magic and the occult at a major university in the city of Lookshy. His exaltation did not go easily for him however, and since then, he has chosen to take to the road. A traveling scholar, tutor, and teacher, Kadon is a lost soul in search of a purpose and direction worthy of his new, exalted status.

During his tenure as professor, Kadon fell in love with one of his students – a girl named Nessa – and faced a duel over their affair. Unprepared for such an ordeal, he would surely have perished, but it was at this point that fate would ultimately intervene. As the duel began, the exaltation took him. An ancient spirit guided his hand, and an ancient voice spoke within his mind, steadying his will.

The will of Kharum Argent, who had born Kadon’s exalt spirit through the length of the first age, joined with his own. Kharum had been a marksman of fabled prowess, and his contribution to their fusion certainly saved Kadon’s life that day, but their bond was ultimately imperfect. Kharum’s personality remained separate and intact, an internal voice and an alien will, vying for control of the whole.

Kadon and Kharum are a gestalt – their skills and abilities a combination of those possessed by the two, but not so masterful as either once was. Kadon’s knowledge of sorcery has been greatly diminished, leaving him with an understanding of the fundamentals, but little practical knowledge. Kharum’s martial prowess is a shadow of its former self, if still a formidable expertise.
