Spirit Walk

Welcome to Spirit Walk, my Primal Campaign. This campaign begins with your characters, who are part of the Mai’teron (or White Raven) Tribe. You are on the cusp of adulthood, and you are about to embark on the Tan’alok, a Spirit Walk. The Spirit Walk is a rite of passage for the Mai’teron, which signifies passing from Childhood into adulthood (this does not necessarily happen at a physical age or maturity. There have been some who have not taken the spirit walk until well into their physical adult lives. Waiting much longer than about age 25 to take the Spirit Walk is frowned upon.). No member of the Tribe can take on a Spirit Walk until they are named Chal’alok or Seekers of the Spirits by the Tribes Windspeaker. The Mai’terons Windspeaker is Jamorl, and he is a powerful Shaman and Medicine Man. Once you are named Seekers, you have one year to prepare for the Spirit Walk, and if you do not depart for it within one year, you are shamed, and cannot be named Seekers for 2 years after that. The tribe will treat you as a child, and you will be given menial labor, and looked down upon for the duration. If you succeed on the Spirit Walk, you are considered full adults, and members of the tribe. From that point on, you will be given greater responsibilities and respect, and can pursue your own ambitions. You were named Seekers 11 months ago as of the start of the campaign. Having trained hard these last 11 months, you have attained your first Class Level! Congratulations!
