Sartam has operated the passenger ferry SS Prudence around the Federation Core worlds for decades. Upon the death of his brother and his brother’s wife, Sartam took custody of their young boy, his nephew Selik. Raising the boy on board the ship, the two developed a father-son relationship, and remain close.
