The H8 series combat droid was created to be the state of the art killing machine sixty years ago. The program was a complete failure and all the droids in the series were recalled. H8-U2 was lost on a derelict starship for more than fifty years where it developed a complex personality. The ship was owned by a bounty hunter and the droid had access to arrest warrants and self defense videos and nothing to do be immitate the videos and read the warrants. When H8-U2 was found by an Orion ship ten years ago, the droid went into self defense mode and massacred the entire vessel. It then when on a killing spree that lasted nearly two years. When the Federation finally took the droid down they deemed it sapient and sentenced it to Denchar. All of its weapon systems were removed but the droid is still a scary machine. It has appointed itself the Sheriff of Xebec’s Demise and it enforces the Law of the West upon every resident it comes upon.

Tal Sharesh has ordered the droid be alowed to act as the law. Since the droid arrived on Denchar, violent crime in the colony has decreased by nearly 40%.

Episode 2

The sheriff showed up at Tripper’s Paradise looking for information about YunDarr. The crew managed to evade his questions, but how long before he manages to find his way to the Grinning Vulcan? And how will the crew deal with the situation when it occurs?

Episode 3

The sheriff showed up at the Grinning Vulcan this time looking for Tarak. We took the droid out and reprogrammed him. I don’t know how we’ll use him in the future, but in the meantime, yet another weapon in the AK arsenal has been removed from Tal Shuresh’s grasp.

Episode 5

After many repairs and upgrades, the H8-U2 unit was converted to a self-contained mobile holoemitter and aid station for Cate. The droid body was taken with the party aboard the Fearless as they escaped the penal colony.

Episode 6

Because no one thought to apply a restraining bolt, the Sheriff left the group on Commerce 01 while everyone else was busy elsewhere. His whereabouts unknown, there is a chance that this droid will come back to bite the group.
