Jorin Kar was a Jedi Master and General during the Clone Wars. He discovered a force sensitive Naboo child named Nyla Hawklight, whom he brought to the Jedi Temple on Coruscant and later trained as his Padawan learner.

Jorin Kar was a great humanitarian and a major proponent of using the Grand Army of the Republic for humanitarian and relief missions during the war.

Jorin Kar was killed on the planet Christophsis upon the issuing of Order 66, however his Padawan Nyla Hawklight survived the purge and went into hiding.
