Times are tough. With the Republic growing ever more stringent with its already ridiculous tax policies, a galactic depression has set in, making jobs – legal jobs – harder and harder to come by. Hundreds of star systems have already seceded from the Republic in protest over the unnecessary financial burdens being levied against the member states. The galaxy seems to be poised on the brink of civil war.

The holovids are filled with tales of heroism, of ragtag bands facing off against impossible odds and emerging victorious, of sentients with square jaws and unyielding morals. Of Heroes who become legends.

This is not their story.

No, this is the story of a small crew with a need to be free, to take jobs as they come and never be under the heel of anyone ever again. Or at least that’s their plan.
