Bio

Tesla de Lupo was the daughter of the notorious, Dante de Lupo, founder of the Ombre Lupi crime syndicate on Fondor. She was raised with the expectation that, one day, she would lead the Shadow Wolves. When Dante died in 234.M22, his brother Jhoren took the reins of the organization and actually doubled its size, but lasted only four years in the position before he too died in a raid that went south. During this time, Maison Ruellis, Jhoren’s right hand man, made an aborted attempt to court Tesl, but nothing came of this and it remained debatable that she ever noticed his interest. Stung, Maison ended up marrying Gehmma, one of Jhoren’s many illegitimate daughters in an attempt to cement his own position of authority.

The perceived rejection by Tesla and Jhoren’s refusal to back some of Ruellis’ more aggressive plans led Maison to begin plotting with the more radical elements within the Wolves to implement a leadership change. Jhoren’s death in a botched raid – a raid that Maison had a direct hand in planning – seemed poised to catapult Ruellis into leadership, but Tesla’s refusal to accede leadership gave him pause: she had enough support within the Wolves to make a power grab ultimately self-destructive, which led Ruellis to concede.

Temporarily. While Tesla led the Wolves, Ruellis spent the following months gathering support and plotting with his co-conspirators to arrange for an accident for the last of the trueborn de Lupos. At some point, Gehmma overheard one of these gatherings and risked her life to warn her cousin of an impending murder attempt. By dawn the following morning, Tesla had vanished and nothing stood in the way of Maison’s ascension to the leadership of the Wolves.

Now she is a drifter, posing as an engineer looking for work. Ultimately she is looking for a crew in which she could persuade to go after Maison Ruellis of the Ombre Lupi so that she can take back her rightful place.
