Bio
Her mother was a Dakota-Sioux Native American who was part of the Prairie Island Reservation, that was until she met her future husband. A white man who was a striving to be bestselling author who happened to be doing research on one of his books at the time they met. Of course, when they got married, they moved away from the Reservation.
Valarie had spent her childhood in Rochester. She as she graduated from Rochester’s Community and Technical College with an Associates in Liberal Art and had taken a class or two in criminal justice and computer science. During her time there and trying to approach the Journalism business. She ended up at Kahler Hotel due to a visitor of a Mayo patient suddenly becoming ill. She never had believed in the ghost stories about the hotel. Not till she ended up face to face with one then.
After that, she had a new goal to research and investigate mysterious happenings and find out how much of what she thought were stories are real. She heard there was a lot of interesting ‘mysteries’ in Red Wing, so she went there hooked up to work with local media groups there. It was an opportunity to prove herself to her father, who had become a best selling author of mystery genre, and to stand apart on her own two feet. She keeps her own personal blog of articles called ‘The Hidden Vera’.
