So, a couple people have asked me what books they should pick up to start thinking about character concepts and getting used to the rules. These are excellent questions, so I’ve put together some links for you all. First off, let me stress that we’re using the Second Edition d20 rules, not the Saga Edition rules. Saga Edition is basically D&D 4th Edition translated to Star Wars – not good. Those books are distinctive, they’re a different shape than most roleplaying books are and easy to avoid. The books that we’ll be using are currently out of print, but you can find them online or at Black and Read easily enough.

There are a few other books out there you can get if you feel like it, but those are the core ones that will give you the framework to get started on your concepts.
