Bio

Early Life
Born from a dark pact between his mother and a demon. Travis was raised under strict rule by his mother and her church. One habit the church had was stoning the upstarts one such time was how Travis got a 2 inch scar on the side of his head. Escaped on his 18th birthday and has turned so far away from his mother and her religion he refuses to even speak it’s name or his original name (Malachai Turston).

A fateful encounter
Years after his escape he came across “Farlon Jordan” a former battle mage in an alleyway drunk and surrounded by rogues. Travis saved Farlon from the bandits and to show his appreciation would teach him how to fuse swords and spells.

A mystic, a bazaar, and a black blade.
1 month ago Travis encountered an individual, a “mystic” he called himself saying that his arrival was foretold by the gods and was given a gift by Oghma himself who told the mystic that he may be the one to unlock the true power the gift holds. The mystic pulled from his belongings an ebony scimitar wrapped in fine silk. When grasped a voice spoke from the blade to Travis’ mind saying “Oh what’s all this? A new wielder eh, well let’s hope you end up better than the last guy.” Before Travis could thank the mystic for the blade he had left.

Black Blade
The black blade talks to Travis in a regal voice and has a tenancy to ramble about the past when he talks. Through his rambling Travis has figured out several things about the black blade.
1. The black blade has lived for centuries.
2. One of those centuries was locked in a treasure vault.
3. The black blade hates Bane for an unknown reason.
4. Travis is the first Teifling to wield the black blade.

New allies and possibly, new friends.
It had cost him a pretty penny to hire that wizard so he could go to the plane of shadow. It didn’t matter, he was intrigued by the shadow beasts and studying them was all that mattered. Until the wizard was killed and he found himself up a certain creek without an oar. Still Travis continued on his way, then he heard fighting and looked over and saw 4 humans fighting against the shadow beasts and chose to assist them.

Personality,
Travis doesn’t talk much, his common is very broken and tends to stutter as he tries to find the correct words. In contrast his skill in Abyssal and Infernal is as if he was a natural speaker.
Travis is a quiet, quaint, and polite individual willing to help a friend in need whenever he can. Only does his demeanor change when called by his original name, in which case he becomes enraged and has to hold himself back from killing the speaker immediately.

Appearance
Almost hitting 6 feet Travis is very buff under his clothes which are set in a way to show as little skin as possible. Under his hat reveals 2 blood red eyes and two horns.

Skills
Travis has a knack for identifying magical items thanks to his extensive studies of the arcane arts. His love of exploring has granted him a large knowledge of dungeons and the like.

Goals
Burn down his mother’s church and kill Malachi Turston.
Discover the truth of the black blade.
Go around the world.
