Homebrew Rule Changes
Shield Punch – if successful, deals 1d3 point of damage and causes the target to lose all relevant DEX bonuses the following turn as well as suffer an additional -2 penalty to AC.
Somatic Components: While silencing a wizard will prevent him from casting spells with vocal components and binding his hands will prevent him from using somatic ones… so will taking away two or more of his fingers! Additionally, wizards whose hands have been BROKEN may not be able to use magic again afterwards if the spells require somatic components and are higher than level 3!
Polearms – The user of a polearm may gain a +2 to-hit bonus if they fulfill the following requirements: The wielder must have not moved that round. Secondly, the wielder must specify a hold action and attack only as a counter triggered by some other action (for example, an advance).
Close Quarters – If there is not more than five feet of space surrounding a character, they are considered to be in “close quarters” the same as if they are grappling. The only weapons they may effectively use at this range are dirks, daggers, and other “small” category weapons.
Increasing Stats – every four levels you may increase one statistic that is at 15 or lower by one point. You may increase one statistic that is at 16 or higher by 1/2 point (resulting in a full point gain after 8 levels).
