(1897-1935) Scion of a prominent Providence family (Kittrell Chemical). Kittrell’s public image was that of a wastrel and a drunkard. In antiquarian circles, he was known as an eclectic collector or, less charitably, a not very discriminating one. Kittrell was a member of the Kingsport Yacht Club and the defunct Providence Spiritist and Psychic Society, among other organizations.
He appeared to have some knowledge of the Dagon cult in the Innsmouth/Dixon area, and may in fact have attempted to sacrifice Zora Smallidge to Dagon just before he died.
