The Assembly of Superheroes
Danbow Crash

Description

Bio

Sometimes, when you look at a rainbow as it disappears, you may see some human-like reflections within the colored light. This is not merely a trick of lights or your eyes deceiving you; there is a separate dimension hidden on the other side of the rainbow, where the people wield the power of light. This was the World of Spectra.
One such individual was a great general for the King of the Ultraviolet Kingdom, who had light manipulation abilities unmatched by anyone within the kingdom. He was loyal to the king and had dedicated his life to the prosperity of the king and his rule. The kingdom was at peace and thrived in their secluded part of the world.
However, this was not meant to last. An odd traveler appeared one day, seeking an audience with the king. After being refused at the gates of the castle, he revealed himself to be a light soldier from the Gamma Kingdom, and his small squad of troops appeared behind him. After this, all hell broke loose. A great battle was fought within the kingdom’s walls between the Gammas and the Ultraviolets, and many civilians were harmed in the crossfire.
After many hours of fight, only two warriors still stood standing: the great leader of the Ultraviolet army, and the Gamma soldier. It seemed that their power was near-equal, and neither could make a mark on the other without taking one themselves. But at last, the Ultraviolet general was able to overtake the soldier, pinning him to the ground. He gathered as much light in his free hand as he could, preparing for one last blow to take out this attacker.
Nothing comes this easy in superhero stories, however. As the last of the general’s power had been gathered, the Gamma soldier forced his own light powers into a small burst, knocking the general off-balance and making him lose control of his gathered light. The light dissipated from his hand, and then slowly swallowed the two enemies in pure concentrated power. Once the explosion disappeared, the citizens saw no sign of either of the warriors.

The general woke up in a daze. The light blast had sent him through the dimensional gate into the World of Humans, in a city they called “San Fernando”, and he presumed that the same had happened to his enemy. Knowing that his quest would not be complete until he defeated his rival, the general decided that he would stay in this world and try to help the citizens out as much as possible as he trained his abilities and prepared for the day he met his enemy once again.
As luck would have it, the general stumbled upon a group of individuals hurriedly talking about a new band of heroes who were recruiting in the area. Intrigued by the concept of heroes and warriors in what was considered a less-developed dimension back home, he decided to check around the city for “The Assembly of Superheroes”, as they called themselves.
As he walked the streets of San Fernando, looking for this “Assembly”, a little girl came up to him, very excited. The girl asked him if he was “cosplaying”, though he knew not the meaning of the word. She then said that he looked much like someone named “Rainbow Dash”, though the small child’s lisp and looser grasp on the human language made it sound like “Danbow Crash” to the general. The general took a liking to the sound of the name and, as such, the light warrior took up this name for his time in the World of Humans.
