WELCOME TO THE LEGION

The Red Legion Campaign is about a special squad of adventurers attached to a Roman Legion. The campaign is set in a fantasy version of Europe during early stages of the Roman Empire. In this Empire human legionnaires rub shoulders with elven sorcerers, dwarven barbarians and other non-human denizens of most fantasy settings.

The campaign is intentionally episodic- although the events are linear, they are largely unrelated. Thus, the action moves around and players can come and go as they choose.

As an interesting twist from many fantasy settings I have added the flavor of the Magic: The Gathering color wheel throughout the game. Instead of alignments, characters have a color identity associated with one or more colors of magic. Further, I try to keep magic effects aligned with the color wheel; so blue spellcasters don’t normally cast direct damaging spells and black casters often need to make some sort of sacrifice.
